Week of June 9–15, 2026 — Heads Down, Eyes Open

A one-project-deep build week — turning a skeleton agency site into a real programmatic-SEO machine with tools, blogs, and trade coverage — while quietly learning how the rooms I want to be in actually work.

The one-liner: Head down, one project deep — turning a skeleton site into a real machine, then quietly learning how the rooms I want to be in actually work.

What Happened

The whole week basically went into one thing: building out the agency site until it stopped being a brochure and started being a system. Programmatic pages, free tools, blog posts, schema — the unglamorous scaffolding that compounds later. In parallel I started poking at Facebook groups: not posting much, just getting busy in a few of them, doing a little outreach, and mostly trying to understand how each group actually works under the hood — what's allowed, what gets you ignored, where the real conversations happen.

Early week — Programmatic foundations

Built the landing-page system from scratch: service pages, trade hubs, and geo pages that generate instead of getting hand-written one by one. Once the pattern was right, coverage exploded — trades and locations filled in fast. This is the boring leverage move: build the template once, let it scale.

Mid week — Tools and content

Shipped a suite of free interactive calculators with their own hub and navigation, plus a batch of blog posts with infographics and cover images. The free tools are the hook — useful enough that people actually land and stay. Added an About page and wired up the SEO/GEO layer properly: structured data, social links, internal links between tools and blog posts so nothing's an orphan.

Later week — Polish and plumbing

Rebranded a core service to better match how people actually search for it, added a native contact form that feeds straight into the CRM, and spent an embarrassing amount of time making the mobile footer and nav behave. Also hardened the backup system so it runs unattended. Quiet, invisible work — the kind you only notice when it's missing.

All week — Facebook groups

The side quest. Got active in a handful of groups, did some light outreach, and mostly studied the mechanics: which ones allow promotion, which are marketplaces pretending to be communities, where people actually ask for help versus just post their own work. Less about results this week, more about mapping the terrain before I move properly.

What I Built

  • Programmatic SEO landing system — service, trade, and geo pages that scale from templates
  • 30+ geo pages and a stack of trade hubs covering the main service niches
  • 7 interactive free-tool calculators with a hub, nav, and schema
  • A batch of new blog posts with infographics, cover images, and pagination
  • About page + full SEO/GEO schema layer (structured data, social links, internal linking)
  • Native contact form wired to the CRM
  • Reworked my reels system around a cleaner content framework — one voice, value-first
  • A spec for tracking engagement across Facebook groups
  • Hardened the secrets backup to run unattended

What I Broke / What Was Hard

  • The mobile footer fought me for days — stacking, dividers, spacing, column logic. Eventually got it clean.
  • Programmatic pages are great until a title suffix or related-link label is wrong on all of them at once. Fixed at the template level.
  • Backup needed a couple of passes to run truly hands-off — wrong binary path, then a file collision — before it settled.

The Honest Take

This was a heads-down execution week, and I'm fine with that. One project, deep, instead of five projects, shallow. The programmatic system is the real win — it's the difference between writing pages forever and building a thing that writes them for me. The Facebook group work matters more than it looks: I'm resisting the urge to barge in and sell, and instead learning how each room actually operates first. Slower, but it's the move that doesn't get you ignored. No diary this week, which is its own tell — when I'm building hard I stop logging the texture, and I lose the record of how the days actually felt. Worth fixing.

Next Week

Take the agency site from “built” to “found” — start the off-page work now that the foundation's solid. And turn the Facebook group recon into actual, careful outreach.
